"We're hoping to raise the club's profile with the event and let everybody know we are here," he said.

"We're a small grassroots junior club with four age group teams, but we do well for a village of our size and we want to branch out.

"There are kids in the village who have a dream of playing professional football one day and it can start with us.”

Ben highlighted Patrick Bamford, from Norwell, who began his football career with Muskham Cougars, as inspiration for the children. He now plays for Leeds.

The festival fun day is at North Muskham Village Hall from 1pm on Saturday (tomorrow).

All are welcome.
