Newark and Sherwood District Council put on free course to teach children how to cook

A council is offering a four-week, free fun with food course to teach children how to cook.

"The course is for people aged from 10-16 who are interested in learning how to cook," said a spokesman from the Newark and Sherwood District Council.

"We are encouraging them to come and join us for our four-week course which is called Fun with Food.

"Participants can cook a new yummy recipe every week and then they eat what they have made together.

"The classes start on Wednesday, January 17 and go from 4.30-6.30pm at

Beaumont Walk Community Centre.
