Reader’s letter: Free parking to boost town trade

If there were free parking I would love to buy my fruit and veg from Newark market.

I live near Northgate Retail Park and it is always so busy and that’s because you don’t pay for parking.

It’s very short-sighted of the council.

Free parking would bring people into the town to help all the retailers.

I have lived here more than 40 years and the market town is a shadow of its former self. — S. PEPPER, Newark.
