Coronavirus: Frog rescued by Nottinghamshire Police officers on patrol in Newark in response to pandemic
This frog was hopped into quarantine by officers out on patrol in response to coronavirus.
The Newark Police team briefly detained the frog spotted on a cycle track and placed him in some greenery to self-isolate.
Officers praised members of the public who, unlike the frog, were observing social distancing measures while out and about. They added everyone had a role to play in reducing the spread of the virus.
They said: "A big thank you from Nottinghamshire Police, as I am sure you'll appreciate our amazing NHS will be so grateful."
