A Newark woman will be representing the UK at the final of Miss Global International in the Cayman Islands
A Newark woman will be representing the UK at the final of Miss Global International this October.
Georgia Nickerson, 26, has been competing in pageants for the past nine years and is set to represent England on an international stage for a third time.
Newark born and bred, Georgia is a skin health enthusiast, working as a senior skin and laser practitioner in a beauty clinic.
She will be representing the UK at the Miss Global International in the Cayman Islands this October after securing a victory at the Miss Global International United Kingdom.
“Coming from a small town I am so honoured to have been crowned the representative for the UK.
“I am very excited and honoured to be representing my country. I couldn’t be more ready to take to that stage.
“I dream of placing highly at the international final, in the hope of taking home the Miss Global International crown.”
Georgia started her pageant career in 2015 and she got her first national title — Top Model of England in 2017.
In 2018, she represented England at the Top Model of the World, achieving 10th place out of 60 countries.
The following year, Georgia won another national title — Miss Intercontinental England and a few months later she represented the country at Miss Intercontinental, where she placed in the top 20 out of 90 countries and in the top three overall in Europe.
This year, she won Miss Global International United Kingdom, which secured her place to represent the UK at the Miss Global International.
With a long history in pageants over the years, Georgia admires mostly the opportunities that come alongside, including travelling, meeting new people and making friends.
She has raised thousands for charities and she hopes to take the opportunity of representing her country internationally to continue to spread her message of the use of safe skincare and educate on skin health.
