Further arrests in connection with Newark Tolney Lane attempted murder
Detectives investigating a shooting in Newark where a man sustained a gunshot wound to his upper body have made two further arrests.
Two men, aged 29 and 52, were arrested at Tibshelf Service Station on Wednesday (July 22) on suspicion of assisting an offender following a police operation.
They have been released on police bail as enquiries continue.
A man in his 30s suffered non-life-threatening injuries following the incident in Tolney Lane 17 June 17.
Daddy Price, 22 and Rudolph Price, 50, both of Tolney Lane, have been charged with attempted murder in connection to the incident. They were remanded to appear at Nottingham Crown court on November 16, 2020.
Detective Inspector Gayle Hart, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: ”Our investigation into this incident is ongoing and we are working tirelessly to establish the circumstances.
“Our enquiries have so far led us to confirm that this was a targeted attack, resulting in a firearm being discharged, and the people involved are known to each other.
"We are keen to establish everyone who might have been involved in any way and continue to welcome any information around what happened."
