GCSE Results Day 2019: all you need to know
This morning we will be bringing you GCSE results, news and photos from schools across the Newark and surrounding area.
Below, we've provided a round up of schools and colleges receiving their results, which will provide a list of results and stories from the students themselves.
We'll be sharing some of the success stories, as well as offering advice on what to do if your results have come as a disappointment.
The grading standards have changed this year, with students awarded grades from a 9 to 1 instead of A* to F.
Grade 9 is the equivalent of above an A*, while an 8 is an A* and 7 is equivalent to an A and so on.
While a C was seen as a pass, students can now be awarded a Grade 4, which is seen as a standard pass, or a 5, which is a strong pass.
The schools with GCSE results in this area are:
- Newark Academy
- Newark College
- Toot Hill School, Bingham
- Magnus Church of England Academy
- Sir William Robertson Academy
- Tuxford Academy
- Dukeries Academy
- The Minster School, Southwell
Make sure you check back here to find out how students have done.
