General Election 2019: Count results for the Rushcliffe constituency revealed




Ruth Edwards has held the Rushcliffe constituency for the Conservatives with a majority of 7,643.

She polled 28,765 votes, nearly half the ballots cast (47.5%).

Labour's Cheryl Pidgeon was second with 21,122 votes (34.9%).

Jason Billin (Liberal Democrat) got 9,600 votes, Matthew Faithfull (UKIP) got 591 and John Kirby 427.

Turnout was 78.5%.

Conservative stalwart Ken Clarke had held the seat for the Conservatives since 1970 before stepping down at this election.
