Newark Golf Centre in Winthorpe warns public to keep their eyes peeled for stolen golf equipment after a hole was 'blown' in the shop's wall

A golf centre burgled for its expensive equipment has warned the public on social media to keep their eyes peeled for the stolen goods.

The centre said in a Facebook post that a hole was 'blown' in the shop's wall on the evening of Tuesday, April 21, with raiders getting away with a large amount of items.

It added the incident was believed to be linked to a group on quad bikes, potentially the same ones that ripped-up the centre's par three course the week before.

Items stolen include, but are not limited to, Wilson clubs, gloves, balls, bags, Motocaddy S1 trolley, Motocaddy bags, Callaway clothing, Skechers and FootJoy shoes.

Three men were seen on two quad bikes and a trailer carrying items shortly afterwards.

Officers believe they travelled over farmland in the Coddington and Beacon Hill Road areas.

The centre wrote: "There isn’t much left for them to do here now and nobody was hurt, which is the main thing.

"Any sightings of golf equipment for sale should be reported to Nottinghamshire Police, who will pass on to the relevant CID officers.

"The same goes for quad bike sightings, particularly if wearing balaclavas."
