The fare cap is part of the government’s Help For Households scheme aimed at tackling the cost of living in England.

David Astill, Nottingham City Transport managing director said: “As the difficult years of the lockdown get further away, we hope that our customers will take advantage of this heavily discounted fare as they return to more frequent journeys by bus for work, education, leisure and pleasure.”

The extended £2 bus fare cap will be implemented across all Nottingham City Transport routes, ensuring that passengers can travel at an affordable rate.

Customers travelling on the company’s longer-distance routes such as Southwell, Loughborough and Lambley/Woodborough can also take advantage of the scheme.
