GP to be a high flyer

A Newark GP is set to make a parachute jump today to raise money for Beaumond House Community Hospice.

Dr Julie Barker, of Barnbygate Surgery, is a volunteer director with Beaumond House Hospice and has raised about £400 in sponsorship.

The Advertiser’s website manager, Gareth Arbourne, and commercial director, Rachel Brown, are due to do a sky dive on April 17.

Another jump is planned for September 4.
