Newark College grateful for donations from Lincolnshire Foodbank and Lincolnshire Co-op




Newark College has expressed its gratitude for a donation of sanitary products for its poorer students.

They were given by Lincolnshire Foodbank and the Lincolnshire Co-op.

Jenny Palmer finance officer at the college, identified the need to support students to ensure sanitary products were available so no one missed out on learning.

Boxes of products are in every toilet and supplies are available to take home.

“As a college we recognise the impact period poverty can have in our student community,” said Penny Taylor, advanced curriculum coach at Newark College.

“We are committed to supporting students in a variety of ways to allow learning to continue.

“Support from Lincolnshire Co-op has allowed us to ensure all students have access to sanitary products and a safe space to access these, in a dignified manner.”
