Headgear on parade
Easter hats of all shapes, sizes and designs were on display when pupils at Lowe’s Wong Infants’ School, Southwell, paraded their creations on Friday.
The pupils, who made their hats at home with the help of parents, went on their annual parade around the outside of the school.
The head, Mrs Vanessa Platt, said the designs seemed to get more and more creative every year.
Earlier in the day pupils took part in egg rolling competitions.
They each took in a hard boiled egg, which they decorated at school.
The eggs were rolled towards a large Easter egg in the middle of the school hall. The closest attempt won the Easter egg.
Pupils were able to take in a toy to play with and had a non-uniform day to mark the last day of term.
“They work so hard so it’s nice to have a fun day at the end of term,” said Mrs Platt.
