Newark Advertiser reader letters: Hoping for museum future

Having read the news about the historic Upton Hall being on the market, I can only hope the area will not lose the clock museum.

Maybe a new home could be found for the Horological Institute and its Museum of Timekeeping in the district?

It would be nice to keep such a unique attraction in the area, and while it might be quite niche it would surely bring in a few enthusiasts and tourists to the town.

It is a place I have paid a few visits to over the years I have lived in the area, and I do have fond memories of it.

Hopefully Newark and Sherwood will remain home to this special museum and the institute’s craftspeople. — C. Atkinson, Newark.
