Family donates to RSPCA Radcliffe animal centre to help rabbits rescued from bin
A kind-hearted family has donated dozens of items to an animal centre in time for Christmas.
Rajnish, Geetika and Ayaansh turned up to the RSPCA Radcliffe animal centre with a boot full of treats and donations, where they were gratefully accepted by the charity which had recently taken in a family of baby rabbits.
The rabbits had been rescued after they were found in a wheelie bin by passer-by.
Thanks to the help of RSPCA Nottingham they were rescued just in time as temperatures across the county began to drop below freezing.
RSPCA Radcliffe animal centre posted the update to their social media pages, saying: "Mum, dad and six of their babies are all doing well and with Christmas only around the corner a warm, dry home with lots of tasty nibbles is just what the vet ordered.
"Thank you, not just to Ayaansh and his parents but to all who are thinking of our animals this Christmas and donating, we really do appreciate your support."
Every year the centre runs a shoebox appeal where people can fill a box with item for the animals.
This year they were accepted and kept under a Christmas tree donated to the RSPCA by Southwell Garden Centre.
The animal centre will be closed to the public over the festive period from Saturday, December 24, and reopening on Tuesday, January 3.
During this time there will be no public viewings of animals or appointments made.
