The awards celebrated individual members of staff, teams and volunteers who go above and beyond the call of duty and have had a positive impact on services, patients, visitors and colleagues.

More than 500 nominations were received for the awards in categories that represent the trust's four core values along with a special category where patients were asked to make the nominations.

The assistant chief operating officer for Newark Hospital Mr Ant Rosevear, said he was pleased to have so many nominations for the hospital this year.

"To get this recognition from both staff and patients is fantastic," he said. "Thank you to everyone who took the time to complete a nomination form."

Mr Rosevear said he was proud of all the teams and individuals who were nominated.

"It's brilliant that some of our teams were winners of the awards," he said.

"It really does mean a lot to all the staff involved that they have been recognised for their hard work and support over the past year, not least for contributing to the trust's good Care Quality Commission rating."
