Forty five new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Newark and Sherwood, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

Ashfield 10,110 (up 40) Bassetlaw 8,563 (up 23) Broxtowe 7,726 (up 46) Gedling 8,8875 (up 54) Mansfield 8,581 (up 28) Newark and Sherwood 7,764 (up 45) Rushcliffe 7,726 (up 69) Nottingham city 33,464 (up 235) Nottinghamshire 59,345 (up 305).

In the last seven days there have been 87 positive cases recorded in Newark and Sherwood, which is up 10 cases.

In the latest 24-hour period, no new deaths were reported in Newark and Sherwood within 28 days of the person testing positive for the virus. The total number of deaths remains at 201.

According to the latest public data, 4,828,463 (up 27,556) patients in the UK have tested positive and 128,162 (up 22) people have died within 28 days of positive test.

The number of people vaccinated with the first dose up to July 1 is 44,860,978 (up 141,216) and the total for the second dose is 32,048,199 (up 175,749).
