Inquest opened in Nottingham into the death of teenager George Sims who died in a van crash on Victoria Street, Newark




An inquest has been opened into the death of a 19-year-old in a van crash in Newark.

George Dominic Sims died on May 18 this year in the crash on Victoria Street, Newark.

The inquest opening in Nottingham heard he was identified by his father, Evan Sims, on May 19 at the Queen's Medical Centre.

George's death cause of death was given as multiple injuries.

Gordon Clow, assistant coroner for Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire, said: “Best wishes to the family and friends for this loss at such a young age.”

The inquest is set to conclude on November 6 of this year.
