A therapy donkey called Isla Smiler had the residents of a care home beaming with delight when she paid them a visit.
Isla, who was wearing a Christmas jumper, was led around the Lancaster Grange Care Home, Fernwood.
She happily let the residents pet her, and she caused quite a stir during her stay.
Activities assistant at the home, Cherilyn Pride said: “Isla even leant her head on one of the resident’s walking frames so she could pet her.
“Everyone was coming out of their rooms to meet her.
“It was lovely.”
