Man jailed for ten years at Nottingham Crown Court after attacking another with a hammer in Carlton-on-Trent incident




A man who attacked another with a hammer and then drove into him as he tried to escape has been jailed.

As a result of the vicious attack the victim sustained a fractured knee and four deep wounds to his head that required over 20 stitches.

His attacker, 36-year-old Steven Gillon, was sentenced at Nottingham Crown Court on Wednesday having been found guilty following a trial of wounding with intent and threats to kill.
