Newark company DB Wood holds charity karting tournament at The Hangar at Langar raising money for Cancer Research UK




Local businesses joined together and got competitive in a charity karting tournament as they to raised money for cancer research.

Organised by DB Wood of Newark and hosted across several by The Hangar at Langar throughout October and November, the tournament was able to raise £1,375 for Cancer Research UK.

Joanna Kamaitis helped organise the tournament and said: "A huge thank you to all of the businesses who took part, the tournament was a great success.

"Cancer affects so many people, whether it be suffering from it or knowing someone who has.

"For everyone to come together and raise money for this incredible cause was just a joy to be a part of."

Arcus Helicopters Ltd narrowly beat out 2021 winners, Ann et Vin, to take the top spot as 2022 winners.

DB Wood managing director, Ashley Brookes presented the winners trophy to the champions.

Other businesses that took part in the charity tournament include; DB Wood, Derry Ltd, Creative Conceptions, JL Phillips Renewable Energy, Oakfield Construction and Skirlington Market (Hornsea)
