An accident on the A1 northbound near Fernwood has closed a lane

There has been an accident on the A1 northbound, causing long tailbacks.

The incident has blocked a lane between the Fernwood and Long Bennington turn offs and caused long queues back past Foston.

Avoid the area if possible.
