Newark team of charity Unlock Your You organise Easter-themed word hunt around town centre
An Easter-themed word hunt around Newark town centre has been organised by a mental health and well-being charity.
There will be eight businesses involved, each with a letter in one of their windows, with the starting point being the Tambo Lounge in the Buttermarket.
Families and groups wanting to get involved will then need to have a search around town for the seven remaining letters, which will finally form a word relating to Easter and mental health.
The hunt, which starts on Monday, been put together by the Newark team of Unlock Your You, a national mental health service working closely with local areas including Newark and Grantham.
Colby-Christopher Williams, of Unlock Your You, said once groups have managed to create the word, they will be invited to collect an Easter surprise from the Tambo Lounge on Saturday, April 16, from 10am to 4pm.
“This campaign is being run to really help the Newark community to get back out there and connect more with other people or their town market once again,” said Colby-Christopher.
“There is also a team of people within Newark who are available to support you through our social media, email services and soon-to-be local lines.”
Unlock Your You has thanked community champions at Morrisons and Barnbygate Co-op for their support with the project.
