Newark and Sherwood: Four flood alerts in place and several road closures remain

There are four flood alerts in place across Newark and Sherwood today.
Heavy rain has once again begun to pick up, with more wet spells expected throughout the day.
Alerts are in place at the River Trent Tributaries, River Trent from Cromwell Weir to Gainsborough, River Maun, and River Devon and Smite.
Several roads remain closed due to the impact of flooding.
These are:
Ford Lane, Caunton
Tinkers Lane, Girton
Kelham/Trent Lane
Rufford Lane (Ford), Rufford
A1 northbound between B1164 (Carlton / Sutton / Kneesall turn-off) and A6075 Ashvale Road (Tuxford junction)
- The road is not currently blocked but a number of cars have been aquaplaning and one has already left the road
