Newark and Sherwood Community Lottery offers weekly cash prizes and a £1,000 gift card for John Lewis and Waitrose

People entering Newark and Sherwood Community Lottery this month have the chance to win weekly cash prizes or a £1,000 gift card.

The lottery was created by Newark and Sherwood District Council and raises money for local good causes.

Anyone who enters before November 25, has the chance of winning a £1,000 gift card for John Lewis and Waitrose, or a cash alternative.

Weekly tickets are £1, and people can choose which good cause they want their money to support.

With the Community Lottery’s new Super Draw, people can also buy extra tickets to top-up for Super Draw week, or only buy tickets for the Super Draw.

Councillor Paul Taylor, portfolio holder for public protection and community relations at Newark and Sherwood District Council said: “If you haven’t signed up to the Newark and Sherwood Community Lottery, I really recommend you do.

“It’s a fantastic, and easy way, to help support our great local causes. Tickets cost £1 per week and 60p is guaranteed to go to the cause you choose to support.

“Plus, you could be in with a chance to win something nice for yourself and win this amazing national prize.”
