Reader’s letter: Lovely sight

It is great to see Newark light up when Christmas comes around, from the Christmas tree and shiny streets to the new Town Hall lighting.

Even though everyone complains about Newark being a ghost town, everyone plays a part in that, not using it and only putting it down rather than finding the best in the town.

It is Christmas, we should be helping the independent businesses around us.

All towns are struggling. It is up to each one of us to make them come alive, to bring them back to what they used to be or the closest we can to that.
