Kings Court care home in Millers Croft, Middlebeck, Newark has opened doors




A new care home has opened it’s doors for the public to view its state of the art facilities last weekend.

Kings Court on Millers Croft, Middlebeck, Newark — named in honour of the upcoming coronation of King Charles III — held a special preview day on Saturday, April 29, for members of the community to take a look around.

Guests were able to explore the facilities, learn more about the Kings Court lifestyle, enjoy complimentary refreshments and take away a free gift bag.

Newark town mayor Laurence Goff was present at the event to inaugurate the building.

Kings Court’s home manager, Tarnya Fairburn, said: “We take great pride in our homes name, Kings Court, paying tribute to King Charles III’s upcoming coronation. We’re looking forward to celebrating the coronation with our new team, residents and neighbours.”

Operated by Ideal Carehomes, Kings Court will provide a home for up to 66 older people, whilst employing over 65 team members once fully staffed.

The team will have access to the latest care technology, allowing them to deliver person-centred care in a dignified manner, promoting independence for the residents.

The home is also designed with residents in mind, with bright, open-plan social areas and spacious bedrooms with en-suite wet rooms with showers.

Kings Court is all inclusive, encompassing 24-hour care, hairdressing and chiropody appointments in the on-site salon, a diverse activities program and more.

The building was also built to be energy efficient and environmentally friendly, through the use of solar panels and ground source heat pump technology, the home can be operated carbon free, without the use of gas.

Tarnya, said: “We have had such a heart-warming response so far from local people, for both the first phase of recruitment and from prospective residents.”
