Newark Kelham Road closure due to flooding

A major road has closed due to flooding.

Kelham Road in Newark has shut both ways from from the A46 cattle market roundabout to the Fox Inn.

This is because of flooding at Newark Rugby Club and other parts of the road.

There is a diversion via the A616 and Ollerton Road back onto the A617, with three-way lights being manually operated at peak times.

Kelham Lane and Trent Lane have been closed as cut-throughs.

Traffic has developed but is not too bad.
