A52 road between Grantham and Bingham in Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire closed due to police incident

A police incident on a major road has forced it to be closed.

The A52 has been closed both ways from the Bingham turn-off to the A1

(Grantham North / Barrowby Turn Off).

Traffic around the closure is reported as coping well.

The incident was reported in the early hours of this morning (Thursday).

Reports are that traffic is being diverted via Bingham town centre.

More updates are expected.

Police have been approached for comment.
