A46 at Newark reopened after three-vehicle collision





A major road has reopened after a three-vehicle collision.

A Nottinghamshire Police spokesperson said: “Police were called around 11.40am today (May 9) to reports of a crash on the A46 near Newark.

“Two cars and a lorry were involved in a collision and the road was closed while vehicles were recovered and the scene was made safe.

“One person suffered minor injuries.

“The road reopened around 4pm. We would like to thank motorists for their understanding.”

The road was closed in both directions between Brownhills roundabout at the junction of the A1-A17-A46 and the Cattlemarket Roundabout at Newark, causing significant traffic disruption.
