A617 between Kelham and Newark reopens after flooding and ice recedes




A major route into Newark has reopened after being closed due to flooding and icy conditions.

The A617 between Kelham and Newark re-opened to motorists this afternoon (January 13).

The road had been shut between Kelham Bridge and the Cattle Market roundabout since Tuesday, January 7.

The road was initially submerged due to flooding, and suffered from icy conditions.
