Nottinghamshire County Council to put on a myriad of activites this half-term for families including Halloween events





A council will be putting on a multitude of activities for families this upcoming half-term.

"Families will be spoilt for choice with the events and activities that are on offer across Nottinghamshire this October half-term," said a Nottinghamshire County Council spokesman.

"Nottinghamshire County Council has taken the stress out of planning days out by rounding up some of the fun to help keep the kids entertained.

"There’s lots on offer, from meeting Mickey and Minnie to trick-or-treat trails.

"There is also an adventure holiday club, a day in the life of an astronaut, or enjoying the light extravaganza that is the Spectacle of Light?

"All ages are catered for and won’t cost an arm and a leg."

On offer are £2 bus fares around the county which has now been extended to 2024.

There are also autumnal scenic routes in Nottinghamshire on offer on foot, bike, or horse.

Mr John Cottee, Cabinet Member for Communities at Nottinghamshire County Council, said: “Over the half-term school holidays Nottinghamshire has plenty of exciting events on offer for families to enjoy.

“Whether you are visiting one of our libraries, country parks, holiday clubs, or the countryside, there’s something for everyone.

"We can’t wait to see what fun you have this half-term.”

A Day in the Life of an Astronaut with Mike Barfield

Worksop Library – October 24, 10.30am

The cost is £3 for children, with accompanying adults free.

Haunted Halloween Trail

Starting at the visitor centre, the trail leads you through an ancient forest to find the creepy things that dwell there.

Gather the letters to find a clue and claim your reward.

Spectacle of Light
