A man was arrested on Thursday evening for shop theft and being threatening towards a supermarket staff member.
The 22-year-old man committed the offence on the key worker on the evening when the nation came together to clap for our amazing NHS.
Newark Police said it was not just the emergency services working hard to support the local community, and that abuse and violence towards workers in such trying circumstances would not be tolerated.
