Man charged over reported firearms incident in the Beaumond Cross area of Newark
A man is due to appear in court charged in connection with a reported firearms incident in Newark.
Police quickly responded after receiving a report of a suspect being in possession of a firearm in the Beaumond Cross area of Newark at around 4pm on Monday (May 11, 2020).
It was reported that a man was allegedly aiming a firearm at passing vehicles.
Officers arrested a 25-year-old man man yesterday in connection with the incident who has now been charged.
Jordan Shacklock, of Chatham Court, Newark, is charged with possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence, possession of a prohibited weapon and possession of a firearm when prohibited for five years.
He is due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates' Court today.
