A man was arrested in the early hours of yesterday morning (Wednesday, October 14).

Heather Sutton, District Commander for Newark and Sherwood, said: "We've been working around the clock alongside detectives from our criminal investigation department following these incidents.

"Commercial burglaries are something that we are working hard to combat as many of our local businesses are already suffering as a result of the pandemic and can't afford further financial blows.

"I already have teams covert operations in a bid to combat offenders unawares and hope this shows how seriously the force takes these incidents."
