Motorist arrested after collision in Newark causes gas leak

A man has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving after a four-car collision in Newark yesterday afternoon.
Police were called to Victoria Street where a 58-year-old man was arrested at the scene.
No-one was injured but a car also collided with a building causing a gas leak.
Fire crews were called to the scene along with gas suppliers who contained the leak. One building was evacuated.
Portland Street, Clinton Street and Albert Street were closed while the incident was dealt with causing traffic tail backs.
