Man, 48, arrested after death of woman at property on Hall Lane, Colston Bassett




A 48-year-old man has been arrested after the death of a woman.

Officers were called to an address on Hall Lane, Colston Bassett, shortly before 6.30pm on Saturday.

Detectives are now investigating the circumstances around the death of the woman who was found inside the property.

The road is currently closed and a cordon is in place while investigations take place.

A 48-year-old man was arrested in connection with the investigation this morning.

Detective Inspector Mel Crutchley, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Our thoughts are with this woman’s family and friends. We have a team of detectives who are working hard to establish the circumstances and our inquiries are ongoing.”

“We will do all we can to support the community as it comes to terms with the news of this incident.”
