A man from Southwell has been arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill.
Nottinghamshire Police said the 48-year-old was arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill, failing to stop and dangerous driving.
The incident started at 10.35am after officers were called to a report on Crew Lane, Southwell.
Following a pursuit, armed officers arrested the man on Mickledale Lane, Bilsthorpe, which is more than seven miles away from Crew Lane.
A short time after the arrest a crossbow was recovered from a property.
Nottinghamshire Police confirmed nobody was harmed during the incident.
