Newark man, 38, charged after failing to stop in Bathley and trying to escape police officers on foot is due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates' Court

A man has been charged after failing to stop and trying to escape officers on foot.
Police officers first spotted the vehicle on Boundary Road, Newark, on Sunday at around 10.40pm.
The car crashed into a hedge in Bathley, Newark, after short police pursuit.
Ruben Reynolds, 38, of College Close, Newark, was charged with driving whilst disqualified, failing to stop and driving without insurance.
Reynolds was released on bail and is due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates' Court on Thursday, June 4.
