Man, 38, charged with three offences in connection with two Newark robberies in one night




Police have charged a man in connection with two robberies in one night.

Anthony Burton, 38, of no fixed address, was charged with three offences in relation to two separate robberies on November 22.

The incidents happened on Albert Street and Lombard Street, Newark, just after 5pm and 9pm.

Burton was charged with two counts of robbery and a breach of his bail conditions.

He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates' Court today (Thursday).
