Man drowns at former gravel pits

A man has drowned after it is believed he went for a swim in former gravel pits in Hoveringham.
The police, fire brigade and Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance were called to the incident at the former gravel pits off Gonalston Lane at about 4.20pm on Tuesday.
The man, who is believed to be in his 40s, has not yet been named.
A spokesman for Nottinghamshire Police said the incident was not being treated as suspicious.
