Southwell: Minster holds successful medieval family fun day

Dozens of families enjoyed some medieval-style entertainment at the Southwell Minster family fun day.

The event took place on Friday and offered young visitors the chance to take part in a variety of medieval-inspired activities.

It included archery, different craft activities, and demonstrations.

The minster family fun day is usually an annual event, but due to the pandemic, this was the first one to take place since February last year.

There was no need to book a ticket for the event but there was a suggested donation of £1 per child aged 16 or under.

Heritage intern Aoife Cleland said: “It was a brilliant success. It seemed that everybody had a great time with the different activities.
