BrackenXcapes, North Muskham, to host third mini-festival The Summer Shakedown

A bumper night of music and have-a-go entertainment is planned for a glamping site’s third mini-festival.

BrackenXcapes glamping site, North Muskham, will host it’s Summer Shakedown event on Saturday, September 13, from 5pm to midnight.

The Street Hawks, The Soul Solution, and Beggars Belief will provide the musical entertainment for the evening.

Nigel Catt, of BrackenXcapes, said: “Last year The Street Hawks and Beggars Belief dazzled the audience with some fantastic songs — and this year they are joined by The Soul Solution, a superb soul and funk band exploding onto the Newark night life scene lately.”

Alongside the music, the festival’s giant sausage eating contest and the ‘too hot to handle’ chilli eat off will be returning for the third time.

This year there will also be additional entertainment in the form of 'have-a-go' archery and axe-throwing.

“With a variety of food vendors and staffed bar we are expecting a superb night of music and entertainment,” Nigel added.

“Adult tickets are just £20 and supervised children over 12 are welcome at just £10. With onsite marshalled parking we hope you will find it easy to access and hopefully feel like you want to stay overnight as well.”

Overnight accommodation is available at the site, either in the glamping facilities or camping.
