Kim Barker's missing dog Dylan has been found on the A616 between Ollerton and Newark

Kim Barker, whose parents' dog went missing, said her faith in humanity has been restored after finding him last night (December 22).

Dylan, a large labradoodle, slipped off his lead while out for a walk on Tuesday morning (December 18).

To the relief of Kim, he was found in a field off the A616 between Ollerton and Newark yesterday evening.

"Faith in humanity restored. [I] had the most amazing helpers, we couldn't have got him back without them," Kim said.

"We had sightings called in from people who had seen posts on Facebook.

"We were out looking when we had another sighting, so our three cars joined up with two strangers.

"We chased him across fields and stopped traffic on the A616.

"A lovely lady called Pam let us heard him into her car so we could get a lead on him and transfer him into our car."

The post of Kim's missing dog was shared on Radio Newark and the Newark Advertiser's social media pages over 2500 times.

Kim said she spent the afternoon with amazing helpers and strangers.

"I want to thank you all for your help," she said.

"A big thank you to everyone."
