More teddies given to children in need of support in Nottinghamshire
Another box of teddy bears has been gifted to children in need of support by a Nottinghamshire-based charity.
Teddies For Loving Care Nottinghamshire gave the bears to Me&dee.
Me&dee provides respite holidays to families that have someone — a parent or child — with with life-limiting or terminal illness.
The founders of the charity were also presented with a £5,000 cheque from the Nottinghamshire Freemasons provincial charity fund.
Bill Ashley, of Teddies for Loving Care, said: “The Nottinghamshire charity commission and everybody else involved think that Me&dee is an excellent charity to support.
“It’s bigger than just providing them with teddy bears. Nottinghamshire masons will go on to support Me&dee in the future.”
Around £2160 was raised through the lunch which will go towards helping families across the county.
“It was actually a very nice day and of course, very successful for Me&dee,” Bill said.
“It embodies the spirit of charity that runs through the masons.”
