Mosaic unveiled

More than 170 people who contributed to a community mosaic were invited to attend the unveiling and dedication yesterday. (Sunday)
The Eakring community mosaic was officially unveiled and dedicated by the Bishop of Sherwood, the Right Rev Anthony Porter, at St Andrew's Church, Eakring yesterday.
The mosaic, which is in honour of the Rev William Mompesson, who was the rector at St Andrew's Church from 1670 until he died in 1709, was worked on by 176 people.
The mosaic has been professionally grouted and framed and is hung in the village church.
