Newark neighbourhood policing team seized a quad bike that was driving around the area in a dangerous and anti-social manner
A quad bike was seized after police responded to a report that it was being driven dangerously and in an anti-social manner.
Newark neighbourhood policing team responded to a report from a member of the public on September 6.
Officers spotted the bike before it sped off while the riders made a number of gestures toward officers.
The quad bike was sighted returning home and the driver was detained.
The driver was issued with a traffic offence report for riding a motor vehicle in a public place without insurance and not in according with a licence.
Newark police spokesperson said: “Thank you to the person who reported this to us, and we want to ask the community to keep reporting these bikes to us so we can take positive action and get them off the road.”
