Speeding and uninsured drivers among latest cases at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court
A speeding motorist is among the latest cases to be sentenced at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court.
Dawson Marriott, 23, of Kirklington Road, Bilsthorpe, appeared at the court on July 22.
Marriott drove a Renault at a speed exceeding the 70mph limit on Rainworth By Pass, on November 7, 2023.
His speed was recorded at 90mph.
He pleaded guilty to the offence on May 30.
Marriott was fined £40 and ordered to pay cost of £60.
Three points were added to his licence.
Another motorist was also sentenced on the same day (July 22), for driving without insurance.
Paul Anthony Peacock, 47, of Sixth Avenue, Clipstone, pleaded guilty to the offence during the same appearance.
It occurred when he drove a Volkswagen on Kirk Drive, Ollerton, on October 15, 2023.
Peacock was fined £80, ordered to pay costs of £122, and had six points added to his licence.
He was also disqualified for holding or obtaining a driving licence for six month due to repeat offending.
