The funeral of a Nottingham Forest fan will take place in Newark Parish Church at 10am a week today (Thursday, April 19).

Mourners have been asked to wear red and white for the service to remember the life of Paul ‘Ducksy’ O’Donnell.

He was found at his home on Smith Street, Balderton, at around 11.10pm on Friday, August 18. He was in a critical condition and died days later.

A wake will follow the service at The Rutland Arms on Barnbygate.

The family has requested donations be made to the intensive care unit at the Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham, where he was treated.

Mr Andrew Lewis, 49, of Bromley, has been charged with the manslaughter of Mr O’Donnell. The case has been listed for trial on October 15 at Nottingham Crown Court.
