Mum living near Bingham sets up teenage-only party events in Nottingham
A mum of four has created a teenagers-only party events to give them somewhere safe and affordable to go.
Natasha Howgate, formerly of Newark, who now lives near Bingham and has two teenage girls, created Rebellio Events after spotting a lack of local places for teenagers to go to socialise in a safe environment.
She was taking her daughters to teen events as far away as Sheffield until she decided to create her own 14 to 17 year old parties for the Nottingham teen community.
“I originally wanted to give local teens somewhere safe and affordable to socialise locally but have now been approached by lots of talented teens who want to perform at the events and showcase their talents which is great for undiscovered local youths,” said Natasha.
The launch party was Halloween themed on October 22 at the Hidden Warehouse, Nottingham.
The headline was MC Mase Hancock and talent from the area also included Lenford “Choppa” Bennett from Newark and Luigi Official from Sheffield.
Natasha said: “As a mum of two teen girls I am fully aware of the safety concerns of any parent with a teenager so wanted to create events where the teen safety was paramount.
“I created a unique safe and secure entry procedure which includes breathalysers and zero tolerance to alcohol or drugs, body searches, bag searches, metal detectors and a long list of banned items making the events much safer.
“Most teens have never been to anything like this, not even a house party as parents simply won’t allow it for safety reasons for fear of alcohol and drugs being there and as a mum of four I completely get it.”
The next event will take place at Tunnel Club Nottingham on Saturday, April 15, from 5pm to 9pm.
It is promised to include UV cannons, glowsticks, UV outfits, giveaways and much more.
“We are in talks with popular TikTok stars and also reality tv stars who are popular with the teens and have found most are always keen to get involved in such a community event as it’s easy to see there is literally nowhere for teens to go,” said Natasha.
Ticket price for the event is £15.
